In late October, The Zippy Fund had the privilege of celebrating Dr. Steven Halpern as he was honored for his 40 years of dedication to pediatric cancer 💛 Hard to put into words what this man means to our family after he saved Zippy Cimino’s life twice. We are all forever grateful.
A pediatric cancer diagnosis is devastating to families and we will continue to do all we can to give back after all the blessings we have been given. Not a day goes by we don’t recognize how lucky we are.

Last week, on April 30th, we shared some news with you that a young person The Zippy Fund previously supported was just given dire news after almost three years of battling Sarcoma.
We ran a 48 hour campaign to raise funds as the patients final request was to take a trip with their family to Hawaii.
We had an overwhelming response from our community. A very BIG thank you to everyone that contributed!
Due to the decline in health and intense amount of pain, doctors and their family decided it was best to not travel all the way to Hawaii, BUT did allow their family to go away together to Puerto Rico. They are there now enjoying much needed time away as a family.
We were able to contribute to make this trip happen and also will be providing additional funds to help this family during this difficult time. This is all thanks to our incredible community of supporters. THANK YOU!

2018 Zippyfund Gala
Another successful Zippyfund Gala in the books! This one was extra special as it was about our patients and their stories. These children and their families deal with the unthinkable and we are humbled to be a small part of their journey. All the funds we raised at the gala will go directly to our patients and their families.
Thank you to every single person who bought a ticket, who attended and was in the room with us, who was thinking of us from afar, who made a donation, who volunteered their time, who provided a basket or raffle prize, and the list goes on. Special thank you to our photographers, videographer, our DJ, Ninety Three Entertainment & the Bridgewater Manor! And a special shout out to our patients, Amber, David & Lilly who were able to be with us this year! We were so honored to have you with us.

We Love Make-A-Wish!
Make-A-Wish NJ asked Zippy to share why he created The Zippy Fund and continues to support Make-A-Wish New Jersey years after his wish:
"As the director of The Zippy Fund, Zippy Cimino, Make-A-Wish New Jersey holds a special place in my heart for what they did for my family and I. After a grueling five months of my first battle with cancer, all I wanted was a vacation for my family and I to celebrate my life being healthy and happy. My family is the greatest support system I could have ever asked for. The sacrifices they made to always be by side and help me fight did something for me mentally that is immeasurable. Make-A-Wish New Jersey enabled me to bring my family on a dream vacation. This week-long trip was the perfect culmination of my cancer treatment and brought life full circle for us. For this, I will be forever indebted to Make-A-Wish New Jersey and will always try to collaborate with them to fulfill other wishes of children fighting this relentless disease through my Foundation. We think it is important to grant wishes for other children as having an outlet during or right after their treatment can be one of the most mentally rehabilitating experiences for the courageous child and their supportive families."
